Lambing Shed Experience

Lambing time is one of the craziest and busiest times of year on our farm, and a perfect time for you to come and visit! We are excited to welcome you to Urquhart Farm to witness the hustle and bustle of our lambing shed for yourself. We offer a fun and educational experience for the whole family and give you the opportunity to:

  • Learn about sheep and their lambing journeys

  • Cuddle some lambs

  • Prepare our milk bottles for feeding

  • Bottle feed pet lambs

If you are lucky, you may even witness a lamb being born (for obvious reasons, this cannot be guaranteed!).

Each person attending must purchase a ticket. Babies not walking are welcome and are not included in the numbers.

This experience lasts 45 minutes.

Our lambing shed is under cover, but is wet, muddy and can be cold. Please dress appropriately in waterproof clothes that can get dirty. Please wear wellies.

Unfortunately we are unable to allow any dogs or other pets on our farm.

Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

If you are pregnant or trying for children, we unfortunately advise that you do not attend our lambing shed experience. Pregnant women who come into close contact with sheep during lambing may risk their own health and that of their unborn child.

Lambing can be a messy and confronting experience that may be best avoided if you are squeamish.

Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your scheduled start time.
